About Teawone: A Fragrant Journey from the East

Thirteen hundred years ago, Lu Yu chronicled the soul of Eastern tea culture in The Classic of Tea. Today, Li Hui, co-founder of Teawone, carries this ancient, lucid memory across oceans and mountains. Under her guidance, the fragrance of a single leaf now lingers in the afternoons of London, the mornings of Paris, and the twilights of New York.

Our Heritage: Rooted in Mastery

Li Hui is a protégé of Mr. Lin Zhi, a titan of Chinese tea science and Executive Director of the China International Tea Culture Research Institute. Following her mentor, she traversed China's 22 core tea regions, documenting the essence of the land in multiple scholarly works.

From the misty peaks of West Lake Longjing to the rugged "rock bone" character of Wuyi tea—from the ancient heat of the kiln to the profound philosophy of tea ware—her journey eventually led to the founding of the Liuru Tea Culture Research Institute in the Wuyi Mountains. It was these years spent between the soil and the steam that birthed the soul of Teawone.

Our Vision: To See the Unseen

We invite the world to witness the transformation of nature into art:

  • The Alchemy of Nature: To see how mountains become tea, and how the earth becomes a vessel.
  • The Dance of the Leaf: To see tea settle in the boil and unfurl through the rhythm of the water.
  • The Aesthetic of Form: To see how the curve of a cup continues the legacy of Eastern aesthetics, and how the texture of a teapot breathes with the pulse of the land.
  • The Echo of Wisdom: To see ancient Eastern wisdom resonate gently within the tempo of modern life.

Our Mission: Bridging Worlds Through Tea

Teawone carries more than just the craftsmanship of "the leaf and the vessel"; it carries a profound reverence for lineage and the warmth of a journey well-traveled.

"To meet friends through tea; to carry the Dao through vessels."

We translate the "24 Solar Terms" of traditional tea culture into a universal rhythm for living. We invite the world to begin with a cup of Chinese tea.
